This is what my heart is screaming to Jesus these days: wherever you are Lord, is where I need to be! Not even want to, or would like to but NEED to. Life is just that real right now and it’s taking its toll on what I can handle in my own physical, mental, and emotional strength.
Vic suffered his first cardiac arrest. Four months later, in November 2013 I was laid off from my job (after the company I worked for went bankrupt) with no severance and no savings because our finances had been depleted from the medical bills from Vic's surgery, hospitalization and post care.
My 21-month old son Miles has this hobby that he loves – he loves to spin anything and everything. It started when he was somewhere around 8 months old when he saw my husband spin one of his toys and ever since he’s been hooked; any object he can get his hands on he wants to try it out to see if it will spin and he’s mastered his craft - it is actually really cool to experience as his mom because it helps me to understand how he thinks, what he is interested in and passionate about even at this tender age.
The Holy Spirit is convicting my spirit and I’m ready to listen. The well-being of my marriage, my husband and son and our home is crying out and is depending on my willingness to submit. So starting today, I am intentionally choosing to tell The Lord YES!
I am fighting through some serious issues in this current season of life. The responsibilities of marriage and being a first-time mom have me facing me and all of my shortcomings in a way that I have never had to.
I pray that in this space we can each edify one another to pursue true contentment in Christ Jesus no matter the issue we are facing or will face as (future) wives and (future) mothers.
